What Latitudes Has To Offer

Get Away

Is it possible to truly get away just minutes from the Des Moines metro? It is! Join us and other campers at Latitude’s RV Resort. Our seasonal customers truly have the ability to “get away” and enjoy amenities like a fishing pond, a 200-foot-long beach, a fenced dog park, group activities, access to the High Trestle Trail, and Iowa’s first wakeboard cable park.

What do we mean by “get away”?

Our seasonal customers leave their campers on-site year-round if they choose. This offers them the ability to truly relax and “get away”. They are able to show up at their already set up camper allowing them to relax just minutes after arrival.

Great Facilities

Most campsites are 40 feet from center to center and 65 feet deep. Every site has water, sewer, and electricity. All utilities are included in the seasonal price.

What will your campsite look like?

All customers who reserve their site early enough will be able to do things like stamp or color their concrete patio for an additional fee. While structures are not allowed, those who can’t resist the urge to customize their site can use landscaping blocks to make their site their own, this would include stone outdoor grills.

You can customize your campsite.

Future Plans for site mini storage

Imagine having the ability to leave work, open your camper grab your bikes out of the mini storage, and head to the trail without having to hook up to your trailer or make reservations or any of the inconveniences of RV’ing.

Fun & Amenities

A wakeboard cable is a cable that runs approximately 25 feet above the water with a pulley system that pulls a trolley back and forth across the water. Attached to the trolley is a ski rope allowing riders to ride continuously for any amount of time. Typically called a wakeboard cable, it is versatile enough for users to enjoy water skiing and knee boarding along with wakeboarding.

Wakeboard Cable Park

Your pets are welcome at Latitude’s RV Resort; however, we will strictly enforce a no barking policy. We love our pets just like you do but not everyone has the patience to listen to barking dogs. Out of respect for all of our guests, we will require that dogs are quiet and must be on a leash, except for in the fenced dog park.

Dog Park

Entertainment To Look Forward To

Although it may be not ready in our first year, we have a site plan, including a pickleball court with basketball hoops, children’s play area, kayaking, paddle boarding, bike rentals, and outdoor gathering spaces near either of the two on-site bars. Other campgrounds have suggested to us one of the most popular pastimes is gardening. We have room for those interested to stake out their own little claim in our garden or just spend time in a community garden where the produce can be enjoyed by our guests.

Teenage Summer Employment Opportunities

Are your kids getting a little too old for camping every weekend? As kids reach their teenage years, they start to look for their own independence and may not want to hang out with their parents all weekend. We can help with that! We have numerous opportunities for those interested in summertime employment in areas like serving, concierge delivering, cleaning, firewood delivery, and a variety of other opportunities.

Interested in securing a site? We are offering the ability to choose your site, whether it be on the water, next to the High Trestle Trail, or a more secluded site on the edge of the campground or you may want to secure one of our adjoining sites where one camper is pulled in and the other is backed in next to it so you can share your patio space with family or friends with your awnings facing each other. Got a lot of family or friends? We have a unique setup in the southwest corner of the property where five campers all face a common area, giving a group of five campers their own little personal paradise.

No sites will be reserved until full payment for the 2024 season is received. Once payment is received, we will take a description of your camper and vehicle and put a computer-generated replica on your site with your family name post to be posted on our website so people can see which sites are taken and which are still available.

Are you interested in investing in Latitude’s RV Resort?

Any customer who thinks they are in for the long haul can lock in a seasonal rate for four years and receive their fifth year of camping totally free, yielding approximately a 6% return on their investment. “What happens if I have a change of heart before the five years are up?” Your site will be rented to another customer and your remaining rent refunded to you, but the “free” 5th year will not be granted. Offering a great upside to those who can afford to do it with very little downside risk.
